YBR statement on the Texas Bull Riding Helmet Law:“It is the responsibility of the rider and/or
the parent of the rider to ensure that the rider’s helmet and protective vest are in compliance
with Texas State law section 25 TAC §104.1-5 which has been provided for review“ The helmet
will have a sticker saying ASTM Bull Riding Approved Helmet, or an ASTM number F 2530-05.
The YBR and YBR staff will not stop a contestant for participating
with any helmet approved or not. For more on the new law click here.
